Shrimp has been my single favorite protein for as long as I can remember. I’d choose it over chicken and steak any day. Heck, in a battle between shrimp and lobster, the lobster would have to show up in a pretty impressive preparation to tempt me away from even the simplest shrimp cocktail. Shrimp are sweet, and buttery, and they taste like the ocean. They taste fantastic even when they’ve been frozen, and they usually aren’t even all that expensive. And best of all, you can do pretty much anything to them, and they’ll always be delicious.
It’s no surprise that Pinterest is a wonderland of shrimp recipes. Shrimp is one of the most versatile proteins around, and Pinterest is full of ideas for ways to bake, decorate, or repurpose anything in your house that is not nailed down. A person who looks up shrimp recipes on Pinterest could well have a difficult time deciding between gorgeous, drool-inducing photos of shrimp recipes to choose from. There’s spicy shrimp, fried shrimp, and shrimp in pasta. You can find lemon shrimp, shrimp ceviche, and shrimp taco bowls that look like all my meal-prep dreams came true.
