How to Wash & Whiten Pillows

If the weather is nice, choose outdoor drying. If the weather isn’t warm enough, and your pillow is feather or down, choose the air dry option on your dryer. If your cushion is made of synthetic material, choose a low temperature to avoid deforming the filling and to guarantee an even distribution of the filling.

Tip #2 against the yellowed pillow: lemon juice 🍋
Make way for a 100% natural tip! The virtues of lemon juice are no longer to be demonstrated… Very appreciated, this natural product is often used in household products. It guarantees the whiteness of your fabrics, so why not test it to successfully recover your yellowed pillow?

To use it, you have three options:

1st possibility: place the equivalent of a lemon juice in the detergent drawer of your washing machine, so that it releases its bleaching power during the program (at 90° always).

2nd possibility: bring 2.5 liters of water to the boil. Then add the juice of 6 lemons. Place the mixture in a basin large enough to immerse your pillow entirely in the liquid. Then let your cushion rest for two hours in the mixture, so that the effect of the lemon juice is maximum! You can then clean it in your washing machine, using your usual detergent.

3rd possibility: mix 250 ml of hydrogen peroxide with 125 ml of lemon juice. Then pour this mixture into a basin of boiling water. Then place your pillow there, so that it is completely covered, and leave to rest for 1 hour. Then, a little machine wash with your detergent, and it will regain all its shine!
